Crank Brothers SL Egg Beater

Just received a new set of Egg Beaters' parts from Crank Brothers. Wrote to them an email indicating the material deterioration on the shank and they gladly asked if I wish to have a replacement. They did not charged me a cent either for the parts or postage.

Crank Brothers SL Egg Beater is one of the better clip-on for any bicycle. Started using it because the terrain we cycled often wet and muddy and it proved to be very efficient. Unlike some clip-on, when you take a tumble your shoes is still stuck to the pedal and the whole bike would land on you but the Egg Beater proves to be different, it automatically clip-off.

These add on clip-on platform really "sux" to use during off-road.

  5. christania’s “cargo bike rental” bikes are rolling across the city. The system, less than a year old, is funded by christania’s municipal government. It is currently only in one of christania’s 22 administrative districts. Although a 2nd generation system, there are 12 “Houses” in this district, each with around 40 bikes. The yearly subscription cost is the equivalent of $2 US, and allows the use of a bike for up to four hours at a time. In less than a year, there have been 6,000 subscriptions sold. There are larger 3rd generation systems in the world, which do not have a subscription to bike ratio as big as that.

  8. Camping with kids can be quite challenging as well. When the restrictive nature of urban homes is not able to contain the effervescence of childhood, imagine what letting them loose in the great outdoors can do to them. Before you start out, ensure you have a set of rules framed and explained and make sure the kids follow them. If you have an older child, make them responsible for the younger ones. hiking for beginners
